My Mom wore these bell bottom jeans in the 70's, I'll have to find a picture of her wearing them and add it to this post later! -^_^- I first tried these Jeans on in middle school (7th or 8th grade I believe) and was dumbfounded by the extremely
weird fit-- they were too big on me then but the high waist was what really threw me. As a thirteen year old, I'm pretty sure I compared it to Steve Urkle and that was that.

Late in high school I remembered the jeans and wondered if they would fit me. Though I was a size 5 they refused to zip at all, even then I don't think I appreciated the style yet anyway. Then last year I remembered these jeans and my heart fluttered a little. They were in storage though and I had to wait until earlier this month to finally try them on. I'm a size 2 these days and these jeans
just fit (I can barely sit comfortably in them), my Mom was
tiny.
I'm so glad that my Mom chose to save these, though I'm sure she never thought that I'd wear them someday. There's something to be said about passing a garment down to the next generation, it just feels special. -^_^-
