Peacock Dress

Have you ever had one of those days where you didn't plan ahead and completely paid for it?  Yep, if you just cringed, you know what I'm talking about.  This morning, that happened to me-- not the first time, I'll admit.  I had hoped to bring you pictures from my weekly Friday estate sale, but due to my lack of planning (or sleep, or something) that didn't quite work out.  So instead, here is what I wore today!

This dress was among my most recent batch of vintage finds for my shop and I cannot bear to part with it!  It's a 1940's cotton dress with a sweet peacock print, pockets and a gathered, circle tie bodice. -^_^- It just makes me smile.  Do you have an article of clothing that makes you happy whenever you wear it?

  1. Such a pretty dress and I love the print. I can understand why you'd want to keep it!

I have a brown corduroy skirt that I would wear every day if I could! It's perfect, with its cut and pockets, and it is so comfy!

  3. I love the dress! My favorite is a black cashmere sweater that I wear all the time. I've sewn up holes in the elbows so many times that I've lost count but I refuse to give it up!
