It's been nearly 100 degrees this past week and if there's anything that kind of weather makes me long for, it's a body of water and a boat to sail it on! Growing up, I went away every summer for a month to an amazing summer kamp (yes, the K was intentional) in Missouri. There I would spend everyday in the sun and at least a few times a week at the lake tubing, wake boarding or sailing. Ah, how I miss those days!
So naturally when I saw this vintage 50's skirt I knew it was meant to be. The little sailboats remind me of learning to sail a Hobie Cat (after completely capsizing several times) and the joy of summers at the lake. I'm a novelty print junkie anyway, but when a print or detail resonates with me personally it makes the item that much more special.

| Haha, Chico decided to get in on this one. That little guy in his mouth is his stuffed hedgehog friend named Reginald (aka Reggie the Heggie). |
Do you have any garments that trigger fond summer memories?
